I’m Not a Muslim Because I Read the Quran

A fresh new intellectual critique of the Quran.
From the back cover:

Diving deep into the heart of Islam, I’m Not a Muslim Because I Read the Quran embarks on a thought-provoking journey, challenging conventional perceptions of the Quran and its teachings. The author avoids common critiques based on emotional arguments regarding the directives of Jihad, opting instead to evaluate the credibility of the Quran’s claim of divine origin. If the Quran indeed constitutes divine revelation, then Jihad would be morally obligated, as its mandate is established by a deity whose nature is declared to be good (Surah 29:69).

The Quran states: “Do they not consider the Qur’an? If it was from other than Allah, they would have found in it many inconsistencies” (Surah 4:82). This provides us with a litmus test for assessing the Quran. With a critical eye and intellectual rigor, the author explores the Quran according to its own standards for testing this religion. By evaluating the Quran’s syncretism of other religious texts, its eccentric theological tenets, scientific and historical errors, christological doctrines, and conducting a thorough appraisal of deeply rooted epistemological contradictions without distraction from superficial variants of the text, this book raises many unanswerable questions from the scripture of Islam.

I’m Not a Muslim Because I Read the Quran challenges readers to confront these complex issues with intellectual honesty, inviting them to engage in a deeper understanding of Islam and its theological underpinnings.

Chapter 1: Israel in the Quran: Sacred Status and Doctrinal Challenges.
